Privacy Policy

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

Our conversations are private and confidential.
The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist.  Information may not be disclosed to third parties without written permission from the client.

Exceptions include:

  • Suspected child, dependent adult or elder abuse. I am required by law to immediately report this to the appropriate authorities.
  • If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person or persons, I am required by law to notify law enforcement and inform the intended victim(s).
  • If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety.  However, if necessary, I will take further measures that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
